Terms of Use
Agreement
This End-User License Agreement (including any Supplemental Terms, as applicable) (“EULA”) governs your use of CleanPath and is a legal agreement between you and Maxima Apps. By installing or otherwise using CleanPath, you: (a) agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this EULA, (b) represent and warrant that you own or control the mobile device on which CleanPath will be installed, and (c) represent and warrant that you have the right, authority, and capacity to enter into this EULA and to abide by all its terms and conditions, just as if you had signed it.
The terms and conditions of this EULA also apply to any CleanPath updates, supplements, and services that are not provided under a separate license or agreement with us. If you do not agree to the terms and conditions of this EULA, do not install or use CleanPath.
We may amend these terms and conditions from time to time. If changes materially affect your rights or obligations, we will notify you by reasonable means. You acknowledge that an in-app message notifying you of such changes when you open CleanPath constitutes reasonable means. Your continued use of CleanPath after we post any amendments will signify your acceptance of them. If you do not agree with an amendment, you must discontinue using the app.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding these terms, please contact us. Do not use CleanPath until your questions have been answered to your satisfaction and you agree to abide by this EULA.
Notice to consumers: depending on the laws of your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights that cannot be waived through this EULA and that are in addition to its terms, and certain provisions may be unenforceable as to you. To the extent any term of this EULA is unenforceable, the remainder shall remain in full force and effect.
Use of CleanPath is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into this EULA by reference. This EULA also includes any additional payment terms set out on the download or purchase page through which you download or subscribe to CleanPath. CleanPath is distributed through the Apple App Store, which has its own additional terms and usage rules that govern your use of the app.
Age Requirement
CleanPath addresses themes related to pornography and compulsive sexual behavior, and is rated 17+ on the App Store. You must be 17 years of age or older to install or use CleanPath. CleanPath is not intended for use by anyone under this age, and we do not knowingly permit use of the app by anyone under 17. If you are a parent or guardian and believe someone under 17 is using CleanPath, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Grant of License
Subject to your compliance with this EULA, you are granted a non-exclusive, revocable, non-sublicensable, non-transferable license to access, download, and install the most current generally available version of CleanPath on a single, authorized mobile device that you own or control, solely for your lawful, personal, non-commercial use.
Description of Other Rights and Limitations
Restricted use. You may not rent, sell, lease, sublicense, distribute, assign, copy (other than a single backup copy), or otherwise transfer or grant any rights to CleanPath, or use it for the benefit of any third party. You are prohibited from making CleanPath available over a network where it could be downloaded or used by multiple users, unless permitted under Apple’s platform terms. You agree not to use any robot, spider, or other automated or manual process to interfere with the proper working of CleanPath, except to remove the app from a device you own or control. You may not violate or attempt to violate the security of our services, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise tamper with CleanPath, or attempt to do so. You may not access or modify CleanPath’s source code, and you do not have the right to create derivative works of the app or any portion of it. All modifications or enhancements to CleanPath remain the sole property of Maxima Apps.
Updates. We reserve the right to add or remove features or functions in CleanPath. The app periodically communicates with our servers. Updates may occur automatically or upon notice, and may require your acceptance of a new EULA.
Access. You must provide your own equipment, internet connection, device, and service plan. Your network provider’s fees may apply. Not all features may work on all devices.
Purchases, subscriptions, and Gems. CleanPath offers in-app purchases and auto-renewing subscriptions that unlock premium features such as advanced app and web blocking, expanded AI Therapist access, and detailed recovery analytics. Where shown at the point of purchase, subscription pricing, duration, and auto-renewal terms will be disclosed to you before you confirm your purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase, and subscriptions automatically renew for the same duration and price unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. CleanPath also awards “Gems” as you build and maintain streaks; Gems are a virtual, in-app reward with no monetary value, cannot be redeemed for cash, purchased, transferred, or sold, and hold no value outside the app. Purchases are processed by Apple in accordance with Apple’s own Media Services Terms and Conditions.
CleanPath App Functionality
CleanPath may include features provided by Maxima Apps or by third-party service providers.
Some features request access to your device’s camera, microphone, speech recognition, or Apple Music library. These permissions are used solely for the specific features you actively initiate — for example, voice input for journaling or daily check-ins, or playing your own music during meditation, workout, or focus activities — and are not used to collect or transmit data passively. You may deny or later revoke any of these permissions through your device settings, though doing so may limit the corresponding feature.
AI Therapist. CleanPath’s AI Therapist feature uses third-party AI providers (OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Google’s Gemini, accessed via their APIs) to generate responses to your prompts. The AI Therapist is an automated tool intended to offer general supportive guidance and is not a licensed therapist, counselor, or medical professional, and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It is not a substitute for professional mental health care. If you are in crisis or experiencing thoughts of self-harm, please contact emergency services or a crisis helpline in your area immediately rather than relying on this feature. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of any response generated by the AI Therapist, and you use this feature at your own discretion.
No guaranteed outcomes. CleanPath is a self-directed recovery-support tool. We do not guarantee any specific recovery outcome, and your results will depend on your own engagement and circumstances.
Third-Party Partners
Third-party services and content. CleanPath integrates with third-party services, including Google Firebase for analytics and OpenAI and Google for the AI Therapist feature. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to their processing of your information, and Maxima Apps is not responsible for their content, services, or availability.
Access to content. Web and content blocking features rely on categorization that may not be complete or fully accurate. You acknowledge that no blocking technology is guaranteed to be 100% effective, and you assume the risk that some content may not be blocked or that legitimate content may occasionally be blocked in error.
Security
CleanPath cannot be guaranteed to be 100% secure. You accept all risk of unauthorized access to or misuse of your data, and you are responsible for securing your own device, including any device passcode or biometric protection. Maxima Apps is not liable for unauthorized access to your device or to app data resulting from your failure to secure your device.
Registration and Passwords
Registration. CleanPath allows you to create an account using Sign in with Apple or your Google account. Your use of these sign-in methods is also governed by Apple’s or Google’s own terms and privacy policies, as applicable.
Account security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
Provided information. You must provide accurate, complete, and current information where requested.
Uninstall/Removal
To uninstall CleanPath, use your device’s application manager or consult your device manual. Uninstalling the app does not automatically delete your account or associated data — to delete your account and data, use the in-app option at Settings > Account > Delete Account, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Consent to Use of Data
You agree that we may collect technical and related information as outlined in our Privacy Policy, in order to provide updates, support, and app functionality. For App Tracking Transparency (ATT), your consent to use of your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA) for tracking purposes is obtained exclusively through the system-level ATT prompt required by Apple’s guidelines. This consent is separate from and independent of your agreement to this EULA. Granting or denying ATT permission does not affect your right to use CleanPath, and you may withdraw ATT consent at any time via Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking on your device.
Intellectual Property
All content, code, design, and materials in CleanPath are owned by Maxima Apps or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use our trademarks or copyrighted material without our prior written permission.
Copyright and Submissions
You are responsible for any content you contribute (such as journal entries) and must have the rights to it. Maxima Apps respects intellectual property rights and will remove infringing content upon proper notice. Objectionable content includes unlawful, harmful, hateful, harassing, obscene, or virus-infected content. We may monitor, edit, or remove content, and may disclose information if required by law. Unless stated otherwise, ownership of any content you voluntarily submit to us (excluding your private journal entries, which remain your own personal data as described in our Privacy Policy) may be used by Maxima Apps as described at the time of submission. Users who repeatedly violate these terms may have their access terminated. This EULA creates no third-party beneficiary rights.
Termination
Your rights under this EULA end automatically if you fail to comply with its terms. Maxima Apps may suspend or terminate your access to CleanPath at any time, including for violations of this EULA or misuse of the app.
Disclaimer of Warranty
CleanPath is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure, and — as described above — we do not guarantee any specific recovery outcome or the accuracy of AI Therapist responses. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Maxima Apps is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of CleanPath, including but not limited to reliance on the AI Therapist feature or on the app’s blocking functionality. Our maximum aggregate liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for access to CleanPath in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Maxima Apps from any third-party claims arising from your use of CleanPath, your violation of this EULA, or your infringement of any third party’s rights.
Export Controls
CleanPath is subject to applicable U.S. and international laws and regulations governing export and use.
Jurisdiction and Miscellaneous Terms
Maxima Apps may limit CleanPath’s availability in certain jurisdictions. This EULA is governed by applicable law without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any claim arising from this EULA or your use of CleanPath must be filed within three years of the event giving rise to it. If any provision of this EULA is found unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
